The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has today, Friday 31st overseen the exhumation of the remains of Interior Designer Jeff Mwathi to try and identify the gaps about the cause of his death. DCI Boss Amin Mohammed made the announcement when he accompanied investigators to the Redwood Apartments where Jeff Mwathi died after falling off the building. The move comes after the conclusion of the DNA and Toxicology analyses. The boss and his officers were trying to reconstruct the scene of the crime where young Jeff was reported to have fallen to his death while visiting popular Kikuyu musician DJ Fatxo’s house. Mwathi’s body was exhumed at his parents’ home in Likia, Njoro Constituency in Nakuru County. Detectives are seeking to conduct postmortem on Mwathi’s body to ascertain what caused his death. On March 10, Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kithure Kindiki directed the DCI boss Mohamed Amin to conduct thorough investigations to establish if a third party was involved in the 23-year-old man’s death. The order came after public uproar as Kenyans called for serious investigations into Mwathi’s death. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ghafla! (@ghaflakenya)
